Friends and ‘Jelly Beans’- Conference and Performance

The Libra Theatre crew consisting of Jodie, Rebecca, Sage, Jenny and Libby presented their new play ‘Jelly Beans’ at the FRIENDS -BUILDING COMMUNITY THROUGH FRIENDSHIPS AND SOCIAL NETWORKS event at the St. Philips Centre in Cambridge on the 24th May. The event was organised in partnership with Dimensions, You Can Hub, New Meaning, Inclusion East, Best Buddies and the Creating Communities project led by Papworth Trust, funded by the Big Lottery and the European Social Fund.

‘Jelly Beans’ is a multi-media show based around a key idea of how, like jelly beans in a sweetie bag,  we are all different and have different flavours to offer……whilst taking a gentle poke at the Friends TV show that ran for so many years.

The Libra company are now working on a new play to be ready for performances in December – a comedy exploring the crazy side of Christmas. Watch this space for further details and give us a call if you would like to get involved on 01223 420850.
